NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Former Owls’ All-American Danielle Moore has joined the Southern Connecticut State University women’s cross country and track and field programs as an assistant coach. The announcement was made earlier today by head coach Chris Covert.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Thirty-four student-athletes from Southern Connecticut State University have been named as 2009-10 recipients of the Division II Athletics Directors Association Academic Achievement Awards presented by WeatherPORT. The Academic Achievement Award is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level.

For the second year in a row, Laura Brustolon (Mystic, Conn.) captured the Ocean Beach/Kelley Road Race in New London. Brustolon, who recently completed her senior season with the Southern Connecticut State University women’s cross country/track and field programs, finished with a time of 1:13.20.
