NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Southern Connecticut State University women's cross country program has been selected third in the Northeast-10 Conference preseason poll, as voted on by the league's coaches. The Owls were tied with Adelphi for that position and received one first place vote. Southern Connecticut has previously received a No. 25 national ranking and a No. 2 regional ranking by the USTFCCCA already this fall.

Last season, the Owls also peaked as high as No. 3 in the region while placing third at the Northeast-10 Championships and fourth at the NCAA Regionals.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Thirty-four student-athletes from Southern Connecticut State University have been named as 2009-10 recipients of the Division II Athletics Directors Association Academic Achievement Awards presented by WeatherPORT. The Academic Achievement Award is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level.
