NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior Megan Caporossi (Northford, Conn.) of the softball team and senior Richard Jackson (New Rochelle, N.Y.) of the men’s track and field team have been named as the Comcast/Southern Connecticut State University Athletes of the Month for May.

Alums Face Off In Major League Soccer Cup

CARSON, Calif. – A pair of Southern Connecticut State University men’s soccer alums were on center stage when the Columbus Crew and New York Red Bulls squared off in the 2008 Major League Soccer Cup on Nov. 23. Juan Carlos Osorio patrolled the sidelines as the head coach of the Red Bulls, while Brian Bliss serves as the Technical Director for the Crew. Ultimately, Bliss’ side came out on top with a 3-1 win that gave his organization its first-ever MLS Cup win.
