Final Stats

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – Senior Allison Kownacki (Orange, Conn.) scored two goals and sophomore Teresa Monfredo (Shirley, N.Y.) added another, but the Southern Connecticut State University women’s lacrosse team lost to No. 1 nationally ranked C.W. Post earlier today, 17-3.

C.W. Post improved to 5-0 with the win, while the Owls moved to 1-5.

The hosts scored the first 12 goals of the game before Monfredo found the back of the net off a feed from Grace Martha (Cheshire, Conn.) with 2:30 remaining in the opening half.

C.W. Post then scored three straight before Kownacki connected for the first of her two goals. She would add another later in the stanza.

The Owls return to action on April 1 for a 4 p.m. road game at Southern New Hampshire.
