Burden Selected Northeast-10 Conference Diver of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sophomore Amanda Burden (Orange, Conn.) of the Southern Connecticut State University women’s swimming and diving team has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Diver of the Week for her performances in the pool last week, announced on Tuesday by the league office. Burden collected victories in all three events she participated in this past weekend. On Saturday at Saint Rose, she posted a 159.30 in the one-meter diving event, leading the Owls to their season’s first victory. On Sunday against CCSU and Sacred Heart, she scored a 204.60 in the one-meter and a 224.00 in the three-meter diving sessions, taking home first place in both events.

The women’s swimming and diving team is back in action on Nov. 7 at the College of New Jersey. The meet is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. in Ewing, N.J.
