Dieny Charlot Captures All-ECAC Accolades

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Following a strong junior season that already produced All-Conference laurels, it was announced on Monday morning that Southern Connecticut State University junior Dieny Charlot (Deep River, Conn.) has been named an ECAC All-Star. Eleven student-athletes from five different institutions were named to this year’s team. Charlot finished the year with 13 points (five goals, three assists).
Charlot, who appeared in all 20 games for the Owls, was an integral member of the offensive and defensive penalty corner units this season. She ranked second on the team in goals and was third in points.
The Owls qualified for the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament for the second straight year in 2009.
