Men's Cross Country Places Sixth at NCAA East Regional Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – The Southern Connecticut State University men’s cross-country team finished sixth overall in the 26-team field at the NCAA East Regional Championships on Sunday. Junior Joseph Poulsen (Oxford, Conn.) led the team as he placed seventh overall in a time of 32:02.9.
The top performers for the Owls were freshmen Brian Nill (Ridge, N.Y.) (33:05.8) and Paul Ryskowski (Bristol, Conn.) (33:51.8) and juniors Daniel Gaunya (Woodstock, Conn.) (34:04) and Joseph Sullivan (Mystic, Conn.) (34:12.6).
Freshman Joshua Perry (Naugatuck, Conn.) and junior John Fennekohl (Mamora, N.J.) also ran and finished for the Owls, placing with times of 34:30.1 and 34:51.9 respectively.
UMass Lowell won the meet with 43 points followed by Stonehill with 67 and Bentley with 130. Southern finished sixth with 173 points.
