The Wallingford Silver Bullets will play a halftime exhibition at the men’s basketball contest against American International on Feb. 13.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University athletic department will host the Wallingford Silver Bullets for a halftime exhibition at the men’s basketball contest against American International on Feb. 13. The squad is made up of gentlemen ranging in age from 60-84 years old. The Silver Bullets are celebrating their 11th season of action this winter.
The Silver Bullets are veterans of World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam and several have received the Purple Heart. Bob Fortino has earned the Bronze Star in service to our country.
The team is made up of teamsters, electricians, school teachers, college professors, businessmen, lawyers, factory workers, government employees, social service workers, lifetime soldiers in the army and marines as well as politicians.
The featured player for Saturday’s exhibition is Bill Condon, Professor Emeritus at Southern Connecticut State University.
If you are interested in more information, contact the Wallingford Parks and Recreation Department to join us Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8:30-10 a.m. or just stop by to join our coffee hour after we play at 6 Fairfield Blvd off Route 68.
