NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University Athletic Department and Sprint have announced a partnership for the 2010 calendar year. Sprint will serve as a proud supporter of Owls’ athletics, as well as the Annual Owl Golf Classic. This year’s golf outing will take place on May 24 at the Lake of Isles South (Private) Course at Foxwoods Resort and Casino.

“I am extremely pleased to announce that Sprint will serve as a supporter of Southern Connecticut State University athletics in 2010,” Director of Athletics Patricia D. Nicol said. “Sprint is a globally recognized organization that provides outstanding products and service to its customers. We look forward to working in a combined effort with them during the upcoming year.”

In addition, to help Southern Connecticut State University employees stay connected and productive from virtually wherever they are, a discount on select regularly priced wireless service plans is available to faculty, staff and their immediate families. It applies to new or existing Sprint or Nextel customers. The program includes plans for Sprint 3G Mobile Broadband, as well as Nextel Direct Connect®, which allows users to communicate with just the push of a button and operates on the fastest national push-to-talk network with the world’s largest community of push-to-talk users.* Contact Chad Beecher for more information at chad.beecher@sprint.com
