Owl Helps Celebrate Grand Opening Of Bruegger's Bakery-Café At 1460 Whalley Avenue In New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University Owl was alongside at the grand opening of Bruegger’s Bakery-Café’s newest location at 1460 Whalley Avenue in New Haven earlier today. The Owl took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony and welcomed customers with his counterpart, Brueggie.

Bruegger’s and the SCSU Athletic Department have teamed up on a partnership for the 2009-10 academic year. Bruegger’s supports the Owls by providing the bakery’s freshly-baked bagels, gourmet sandwiches and popular Green Mountain Coffee® to fans, parents and staff at various sporting events throughout 2010, including the University’s annual gymnastics “Pink Meet,” Girls and Women in Sports Day and the National Student-Athlete Day reception.
