NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut State University senior catcher Khristle Lee (Aztec, N.M.) has been selected to the Daktronics All-East Region First-Team following a vote of the region’s Sports Information Directors. Lee helped lead the Owls to their finest season in program history, a 42-win campaign that included a Northeast-10 Conference Tournament title and a trip to the NCAA Tournament East Regional finals.
Also a First-Team All-Northeast-10 Conference performer, Lee ranked third in the Northeast-10 in runs scored (46), fourth in hits (63) and seventh in triples (5). She was second on the squad with a .366 batting average and tallied 25 runs batted in.
Lee was also recognized by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) earlier in the month with First-Team Academic All-District I honors. District I is comprised of all Division II and Division III schools from New York and all of New England. Lee now advances to the national ballot and is eligible for Academic All-America laurels.
