Southern Connecticut State University Athletic Department and Nike Enter Into Sponsorship Agreement

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University athletic department and Nike, Inc., in association with Billings Sports, have reached a sponsorship agreement that will supply all of the Owls’ 19 intercollegiate programs with athletic uniforms, footwear, apparel and equipment. Director of Athletics Patricia D. Nicol made the announcement earlier today.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“Nike is a global entity that possesses instantaneous recognition through its branding and marks, and we are thrilled to enter into a partnership that will enhance our own branding and promotional efforts,” Nicol said. “In addition, we have enjoyed an outstanding relationship with Billings Sports through the years. This agreement will undoubtedly enhance the experience of our student-athletes by providing them with some of the finest apparel and equipment in college athletics.”
The Owls’ programs will begin displaying Nike apparel this fall and will allow the department to create a consistent look across the board.
