NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Former Southern Connecticut State University swimmer Lisa Broadfield ’06 has been chosen to represent the United States at the 2010 CISM World Military Swimming/Lifesaving Championships. An AO2 (Aviation Ordinance) in the United States Navy, Broadfield is one of 16 individuals chosen from the Armed Forces to take part in the event, which will run from August 22-30 in Warendorf, Germany.
Broadfield was a four-year member of the Owls squad and held 10 different school records during the course of her collegiate career. At the conclusion of her time with the Owls, she still held school marks in the 1,000 freestyle and 1,650 freestyle.
