Women's Cross Country Team Announces 2010 Schedule

NEW HAVEN, Conn - Southern Connecticut State University women’s cross country coach Chris Covert has announced the team’s 2010 schedule. The Owls were ranked as high as third in the region last season. SCSU will participate in four competitions leading up to the Northeast-10 Conference Championships on Nov. 6. The season opener will be on Sept. 11 at the CCSU Blue Devil Invitational.

In the month of October the Owls will compete in three meets – the Connecticut College Invitational (Oct. 16), the CCSU Mini-Meet (Oct. 22) and the Division II Cross Country Challenge at Kutztown University (Oct. 23).

November will begin with the Northeast-10 Conference Championships on Nov. 6, where the Owls finished third overall last season. The Owls will then move on to compete in the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional.

The NCAA Championships are Dec. 4 in Louisville, Ky.
