NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut State University pitcher Ryan Yerina (Trumbull, Conn.), who recently completed his sophomore season with the Owls, has been named a Valley League All-Star. Yerina is pitching for the Rockbridge (Va.) Rapids this summer.  The game will take place on Sunday, June 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Harrisonburg, Va.

To date this summer, Yerina has recorded a 3-2 mark with a 3.64 earned run average. He also posted a streak of 22.1 scoreless innings spanning three starts, along with the Rapids second complete game shutout in team history back on June 11.

Yerina registered a 6-2 mark with a 2.00 ERA for the Owls this past spring en route to All-Conference laurels.
