Hernandez, Templeton To Captain Men's Soccer Squad

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut State University men’s soccer coach Tom Lang has announced that senior Victor Hernandez (Rye Brook, N.Y.) and junior Paul Templeton (Saltcoats, Scotland) will serve as team captains for the Owls this fall.
Hernandez made an immediate impact for the Owls in his first season with the club last fall. He finished with 15 points (five goals, five assists) and appeared in all 21 matches. For his efforts, Hernandez was named All-Region and All-Conference.
Templeton will serve as a team captain for the second year in a row. Last season, he led the Owls with 18 points (seven goals, four assists) while starting all 21 matches. Templeton collected All-Region, All-Conference and All-ECAC laurels at year’s end, while also being selected as a Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Soccer All-Academic Team pick.
The Owls open the 2010 season on Thursday against Felician at the University of Bridgeport.
