Former Owls' All-American Danielle Moore Named Assistant Women's Cross Country/Track and Field Coach

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Former Owls’ All-American Danielle Moore has joined the Southern Connecticut State University women’s cross country and track and field programs as an assistant coach. The announcement was made earlier today by head coach Chris Covert.
Moore spent three seasons with the Owls (2008-10) after transferring from Antelope Valley (Calif.) Community College. She was a three-year member of the indoor and outdoor track and field teams and a two-year performer on the cross country squad.
A team captain as a senior, Moore earned All-America honors in the 800 meters during her final indoor campaign. She also collected All-New England laurels on six occasions and three-time Northeast-10 Conference champion.
Moore holds a bachelor’s degree in public health from SCSU.
The Owls open the 2010 season on Sept. 11 at the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devil Invitational.
